Arriving by plane?

Taxi
Barcelona taxis are yellow and black. The cost of the taxi journey from El Prat International Airport to Barcelona is approximately €30 (a surcharge is applied per suitcase). The journey takes approximately 25 minutes from El Prat International Airport to the hotel, depending on the traffic.

Bus (from Plaça Espanya to El Prat Airport)
This bus route runs between the Airport and Plaça Espanya and vice-versa. Barcelona buses are red.

Aerobus (from Plaça Catalunya to El Prat Airport)
This is a direct means of transport between El Prat Airport and Plaça de Catalunya and vice versa.
Tickets cost €5.30/one way; €9.15/return. You can purchase your ticket from staff at the bus stop, at automatic ticket machines or the bus driver, in cash or by credit card.

The aerobus travels between Plaça Catalunya and El Prat Airport (T1 and T2) every 5/10 minutes depending on the Terminal and day of the week.

The first departure time from Plaça Catalunya is at 5.30am, the last departure from Plaça Catalunya is at 00.30am. The first departure from the airport is at 6am and the last departure at 1am.

The entire journey takes around 35 minutes, depending on the traffic.

Train
There are regular Renfe trains from El Prat Airport to several locations in the city of Barcelona, such as the Passeig de Gràcia or Sants station. Ticket price: €2.85. Trains run approximately every 20 minutes. The first train leaves Sants station at 5.40am and the last one at 10.40pm. The first train leaves the Airport at 6.25am and the last one at 11.50am.

Travelling by car?

If you are travelling by car from Girona, Costa Brava or France, take the AP7/E15 toll road (Mediterranean motorway ) and then the C-33 to Barcelona until you enter the city on the “Ronda del Litoral”; exit at the “Plaza de les Glóries” and then continue along the “Gran Vïa de les Corts Catalanes” to later turn right on the “Passeig de Gràcia” and turn left when you reach “Calle Mallorca”. Continue 200m until you reach the Alexandra Hotel.
If you are travelling by car from Lleida, Zaragoza or Madrid, take the A2/E90 toll road (north-east motorway). You will enter Barcelona on the “Avinguda Diagonal” and must continue until you reach the ”Passeig de Gràcia”. Turn right and after 400m you will reach “Calle Mallorca”. Turn right again and continue for 200m along Calle Mallorca until you reach the Alexandra Hotel.

Travelling by train or bus?

If you travel by train you will reach the Sants station of França station. From here you can get the metro (underground), bus or taxi to get to Calle Mallorca. The closest metro station to the Hotel is Passeig de Gràcia.
The station buses are next to the Sants station, you can also get the metro to the Hotel from here.

Bicycle
Barcelona is prepared for travelling by bike. Comfortable. Fast. Ecological. The bicycle is provided by the hotel. Price of a bicycle/day: €15.25 plus VAT.

Metro
A good alternative for travelling. Just 2 minutes from the hotel is the Passeig de Gràcia or Provenza underground station. From here you can travel all over the city.  Underground ticket: €1.45

Bus
In front of the hotel is the Passeig de Gràcia /Mallorca bus stop used by the following buses: 20, 43 and 44.
